The Latest News

CRA AGM: This year’s CRA AGM is on Monday, February 24th. The Agenda is attached.

CRA Membership Renewals: Renewals are due 1 February, 2003.  As a voluntary organization the CRA depends on the loyal support of its 200 plus members.  We look forward to the annual inundation of renewal forms from those members who have not yet renewed.  Thanks to the many who have already done so.

Dear all

Greetings and best wishes for 2003!

Highlights

·         Becton Development: The Minister of Planning decided to approve a permit for the University Eastern Precinct development. CRA has lodged an appeal for review of the decision with VCAT.  Details of the proposal are attached, together with actions you may take. We need your support.

·         AGM: Should be very interesting and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.  We are extremely fortunate to have as our guest speaker the playwright/writer and Carlton resident, Barry Dickens. Barry’s topic is: "Coming Home to Carlton". This is sure to be a vintage event.

·      Membership Renewal and new members: Vital: see attached. Encourage your neighbours to join too. The more members we have the more representative we are, the more resources we can draw on, and if there is a great rush, we could consider lower fees…

Cheers

Sue Chambers
